Also known as reduction mammaplasty, breast reduction surgery removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body.
Breast reduction is a good option if:

- Your breasts limit your physical activity
- You experience back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by the weight of their breasts
- You have skin irritation beneath the breast crease

- Your nipples rest below the breast crease when your breasts are unsupported
What to expect at your consultation:
Plan on spending between one and two hours at our office. During this time, we will go over your medical history and Dr. Whitlock will perform a quick breast exam. Next, Dr. Whitlock will take some measurements then discuss, in detail, what is involved with breast reduction surgery and give you a realistic idea of the results you can expect. You will then have an opportunity to ask Dr. Whitlock questions you may have about the procedure.
After your consultation with Dr. Whitlock, you will meet with our surgery coordinator to review your quote, discuss financing and if you are ready, schedule your surgery and pre-op appointment. Your quote will include all of your pre and post-op clinic visits, surgeon fee, operating room, anesthesia, and support bra. The only items not included are your prescriptions.
